How to Create Mapping or MIP Labeling
Mapping feature enables you to add labels on files based on the content. Using this feature, you can easily identify and protect files with sensitive content. Mapping is also known as MIP Labeling or tags.
Pre-requisites
Following are the pre-requisites:
Controller must be installed. For detailed information about the installation process, refer Install DSM Administrator in Linux and Install DSM Administrator in Windows.
MIP SDK for Windows and Linux must be configured. To know more, refer Appendix F: Configuration Steps for MIP Labeling in Windows and Appendix Q: Configuration Steps for MIP Labeling in Linux.
Steps to create Mapping
The following section of this page outlines the step-by-step procedure to create mapping in the product:
Login to the PK Protect application.
In the navigation panel, go to Policy > Mapping. Click Add Mapping button on top of the screen.
The next step is to fill in the details in Add Mapping screen in order to create a tag or MIP Label. To know more about each field, refer Appendix J: Mapping.
