Account Lockout Policy

Account lockout is a feature of password security that disables a user account when a certain number of failed logins occur due to wrong password.

You can set the Number of Failed Login Attempts (how many failed logins it will take until the account becomes locked-out) and Lockout Duration (In Hours) (how long (in hours) a locked-out account remains locked-out).

For example, if Number of Failed Login Attempts= 5, then after 5 wrong guesses of the user’s password the user’s account will be automatically locked out for Lockout Duration (In Hours)= 1. Then, after one hour the user gets another five attempts to login.
