This is the default tab which is displayed on selecting the Results page in the navigational bar. Based on the selection of the cluster made in the Select Cluster drop-down, the By Task screen gets populated.
The By Task screen is divided into two panels:
Task Instances - This panel displays information for all the instances of the task that have been executed to detect sensitive data in files. It displays information such as, ID, Task Name, Status, Start Time, End Time, Instance Hostname etc.
There are few other common controls through which you can sort the values in the column header, filter the data, download the results in CSV or PDF format, etc. To know more, visit Common Controls.
*Note: If detection is performed on the Enscribe files kept on Tandem box, execute below mentioned commands on Tandem box to retrieve the IDP Hostname and IP Address:
add_define =tcpip^process^name CLASS=MAP FILE=\FIRE.$ZTPKW
Pause: This functionality allows you to pause a running task for a while. Follow the below steps to pause a task:
Select a running task in the Task Instances panel and click the Pause button displayed under the Actions column.
A pop-up appears with a message saying, “Do you want to pause this task?” with option Yes or No.
Click Yes, if you want to pause the task. Otherwise, click No.

Once the task has been queued for review, the value for the review can be seen in the Task Instances Panel under the Remediated column which specify the values as Y or N.
*Note: To queue the task for results review workflow automatically, set the value of Auto Queue For Results Review to Yes under Settings in Admin.
Reviewed Results: Check the Reviewed Results checkbox, to see if the results for the selected task have been reviewed or not. Checking this checkbox will add a column named Results Review Status in the Detailed Results tab, on selecting Structured Results drop-down in the Overview panel. The value in this column displays whether the selected result is reviewed or not.
The Results Review Status column is visible in the Detailed Results tab only when you select Sensitive Data Type radio button for Structured Results.
*Note: The Reviewed Results checkbox will not appear if encryption process is performed on data.
With Results: Check this checkbox to view only those instances of the task in the Task Instances panel for which the Overview panel gets populated. Upon Checking the checkbox, the Task Instances panel displays only those tasks for which, the Overview panel display results.
Hide: Click the Hide button displayed under the Actions column to hide the task. You can also hide the selected task by clicking the Hide Selected option available under the icon.
*Note: If you have checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, then the hidden task will appear greyed out, else it will not be visible on the screen.

Overview - This panel gives exhaustive information about the selected task and provides all the necessary information needed while reviewing a task instance. The tab in this panel depends on the Task Type selected in the By Task screen. This panel provide information about the sensitive types discovered during the detection and encryption process.
*Note: If the size of any file is zero bytes, system will consider the file as an empty file and will skip while scanning else it will scan the file and will consider it as either sensitive or non-sensitive. For example, when we create a new excel file which is empty with default size 7KB, the file is processed as non-sensitive rather than skipped as its size is greater than zero bytes.
This panel contains of following tabs:
Task Overview - This panel displays the summary of the task selected in the Task Instances panel.
Details: This sub-tab displays the basic details related to the task such as Task Name, Task Description, Created By, Last Executed On, Scan Type, Create Metadata Info File, Sync Results with Privacy, Task Type, Read Files, Sampling Configuration, Unstructured Input Files, Don’t report File Size, Skip File with no extension and Pre-Processing Flag.
Included Scan Locations: This sub-tab displays the list of all the directory locations which have been selected for scanning. It also displays additional information such as the Homogeneous and File Type of the selected location. The Scan Location column displays the absolute path of the selected directory.
Excluded Scan Location: This sub-tab displays the list of all selected scan locations or the file extensions which need to be excluded while scanning process.
Sensitive Type Details: This panel display the list of all the Sensitive Type associated with a task as per the selection made in the Task Instance panel.
Result Overview - This tab provides graphical representation of the task selected in the Task Instance panel. The information displayed in the graph changes based on the selected Task Type.
Detection: In case of Detection task type, the information is displayed in form of graphs.
*Note: The Results Overview tab displays the information for VSAM file formats if VSAM is selected in the Manage Scan Location.
The first chart shows the number of structured or unstructured files detected.
The second chart shows the count of sensitive and non-sensitive files encountered as well as the total number of files skipped during the process.
The fourth chart shows the format of the files detected in a selected directory. Hovering over the chart displays the count of the file type.
If detection is performed on VSAM files, then this chart will display only one file format i.e., VSAM.
Encryption: In case of Encryption task type, the information is displayed in the form of graphs.
The first graph shows the number of files searched and masked during the encryption process.
The second graph shows the count of sensitive items found during the encryption process.
Detailed Results - This tab allows the user to view structured and unstructured results containing details for the sensitive data. The user can further view these results for sensitive data group and sensitive data type.
*Note: Enable the property mapper.only.task = True in HDFSAgentConfig.properties file. This property will eliminate the reducer phase and the masked files are created in the mapper phase only for each spilt. By Default, the value is set to false in the HDFSAgentConfig.property file.
Additionally, no results will be generated on the UI of the application if the value for this property is set to True.
You can choose to view results for Structured Results and Unstructured/Semi Unstructured Results by selecting the option from the drop-down displayed prior to the Sensitive Data Group radio button.
Unstructured/Semi Unstructured Results
In Unstructured/Semi Unstructured Results, the user can view the detailed results for the unstructured files at both sensitive data group and sensitive data type level.
*Note: Enable property enable.discovery.unstructured.sampling=True in
HDFSAgentConfig.properties file, located at .../installation directory/Agents/<IDP>/expandedArchive/WEB-INF/classes to perform the sampling for unstructured files under discovery. By Default, value of this property is set to false. Restart the IDP.
In Structured Results, the user can view the detailed results for the structured files at both
sensitive data group and sensitive data type level.
Column Category name will appear under the Detailed Results tab when you check the Apply Label checkbox at the time of creating a detection task.
In case Enscribe files are being scanned, Column Rows Read* will appear under the Detailed Results tab when you select the SensitiveDataType radio-button. This column displays the number of qualifying fields read. The Field Number will always be NA in this case.
The +Review Results button allows the user to review any Structured Results in the Detailed Results tab. You can mark the records as non-sensitive or sensitive and can also increase or decrease the confidence factor.
*Note: This button is visible only for Structured Results when Sensitive Data Type option is selected.
Perform the following steps to review any result:
Select a record in the Detailed Result tab and click the + Review Results button.
On clicking the button, a pop-up will appear. Now, enter the details for Results Review Action and Results Review Value (%) fields.
Following are the options in Results Review Action field.
Mark as Non-Sensitive: Select this option to mark the record as Non-Sensitive. The system ignores these records in future re-execution of the task
Mark as Correct: Select this option to mark the record as Sensitive. The system does not ignore these records in future re-execution of the task.
Decrease the Confidence Factor: select this option to decrease the confidence factor in Results Review Value (%) field.
Increase the Confidence Factor: Select this option increase the confidence factor in Results Review Value (%) field.
The Results Review Value (%) field will be enabled when Decrease Confidence Percentage or Increase Confidence Percentage is selected in the Results Review Action field.
Enter the value by which you want to increase or decrease the confidence percentage. This field will be enabled when you select Decrease or Increase Confidence Percentage in Results Review Action field.
Once this value has been set and saved, the same can be seen under the Saved Results Review tab. To know more about Saved Results Review tab, visit Saved Results Review.
