Cassandra - NoSQL

To view all the existing tasks, go to NoSQL > Cassandra > Tasks in the navigation panel. The user interface of the Tasks screen is depicted below:

The screen is divided into two panels:

  1. Task List
    This panel displays the list all the tasks for which you have permission to view. It displays the details such as, Task ID (system generated), Task Name, and Creation Date.

    There are few other common controls through which you can sort the values in the column header, filter the data, download the results in CSV or PDF format, etc. To know more, visit Common Controls.


    You can use the following controls displayed on the screen:

    1. Edit: To edit a task, click this Pen icon in the Actions column. This option will navigate you to the Edit Task Definition screen where you can update the information for the selected task.

    2. Hide: Click Hide icon in the Actions column to hide a task. This will grey out the task if the Show Hidden Items option is checked in the User Preferences, else the task will not be visible on the screen. To know more, visit Home Page.

    3. Show: Click this Show icon in the Actions column to unhide a task. This feature allows you to view the hidden tasks. If you’ve checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, the hidden task will appear greyed out, else the task will not be visible on the screen. To know more, visit Home Page.

    4. Execute: Click this forward arrow icon in the Actions column to execute the task. This will trigger the selected task.

    5. Delete: Click this Trash icon under the Actions column to delete the selected task.

  2. Details

    The Details panel provides additional information for each task that has been selected in the Task List panel. The information is displayed under the following sub tabs:

    1. Task Instances Details: This tab displays some basic information of the task. It displays the details such as, name of the task, ID (system generated), when was task last updated, etc.

    2. Connections: This tab displays the details of the connection selected for scanning. It displays the details such as, Connection Name, Connection Type, Region, and Connection Attribute. 

    3. Policies/Sensitive Data Types: This tab displays the list of all sensitive types and policies associated to the selected task. Click the arrow available with the Sensitive Data Types to view the list of all sensitive type.

    4. Database Object Filter: The tab displays the list of all filters defined while creating a task. Only those databases/tables/columns that match the filter criteria are scanned.

  3. Task Instances
    This tab displays all the instances for the task selected in the Task List panel. It displays the details such as, Task ID, Task Name, Status of the task, Start Time, and End Time.
