The section of the document provides an outline of the screen which opens-up, on clicking the FIND DBMS module in the navigation panel.
To access the Tasks screen, click RDBMS > CONNECTION MANAGER > FIND DBMS > Tasks. This screen displays the list of all the tasks created by the user to search for the selected database in the network or within the specific IP range.
*Note: The IP ranges displayed in this screen are setup in PK Protect Admin application. To know more, please refer to Section IP Range in PK Protect Installation Guide.
This screen provides the basic details of the task such as, ID (system generated), Task Name. A user can view the details, edit, hide, or delete a task by clicking the options displayed in the Actions column.
Edit: To edit the details of the task, click the Pen icon.
Execute: To execute a task, click the Fast Forward icon. This executes the selected task and the results for the task can be viewed under the Results page.
Hide: To hide a task, click Hide icon. If you’ve checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, the hidden task will appear greyed out else it will not be visible on the screen.
For example, in the below image, the My_SQL_search task is not visible on screen after clicking the Hide icon. This happens because the Show Hidden Items checkbox is unchecked in the User Preferences.
You can also opt for an alternative option to hide all the tasks by clicking the Hide Selected option displayed under the Three Dot icon available on the top right corner of the Tasks screen.
Show: Click the Show icon in the Actions column to unhide the task. If you’ve checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, the hidden task will appear greyed out else it will not be visible on the screen.
For example, in the above image the Sql_server task is greyed out. To unhide this task, you need to click the eye icon in the Actions column.
On clicking the eye icon, the task will be visible on the screen as shown in the above image.
You can also opt for an alternative option to view all the hidden tasks by clicking the Show Selected option displayed under the Three Dot icon available on the top right corner of the Tasks screen.
Delete: To delete the task from the Task screen, click the Trash icon in the Actions column.
View Details: You can view the details of the task by clicking the Arrow icon next to the Task Name field. Two tabs are displayed:
Task Overview: The Task Overview tab displays the basic details of the task. It consists of information such as, Task Name, Task Description, selected IP Ranges, Scan Type, etc.
Task Instances: The Task Instances tab displays the instances of the selected task that have been triggered so far. It also displays the status of each instance of the task, as well as other information such as, ID, Start and End time.
Refresh: To load the Task screen with updated data, click the Refresh icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
You can also opt for an alternative for refreshing the screen by clicking the Refresh option specified under 3Dots icon on top right corner of the screen.
Sorting of data: You can sort the data in the columns in ascending or descending order.
Sort Ascending: To sort the column values in ascending order i.e., A-Z, 0-9, etc., click the upward arrow icon next to the column header name. It sorts the values in ascending order in the panel based on the selection made.
Sort Descending: To sort the values in descending order i.e., Z-A, 9-0, etc., click the downward arrow icon next to the column header name. It sorts the values in descending order in the panel based on the selection made.
