FP Decryption - Files

FP or Format Preserving Decryption is used to decrypt the data encrypted by an FP Encryption task. Following additional options are available:

  1. (Re) Scan All Files: To scan all the files i.e., old and new for a given connection, check the (Re) Scan All Files checkbox. If the option is not checked, then Incremental Scanning is performed i.e., only newly added files will be scanned.

  2. Structured: This option is checked by default. For details about how to create a structure refer to the section Structure Management.

  3. Skip Files with No Extension: Check this checkbox to skip the scanning of the files which have no extension. Once the task has been executed successfully, the result can be seen under the Skipped Files tab of the By Task screen for the Results module. The reason for skipping the file will be cited as File Name without extension under the Skipped Reason column.

To proceed further for remaining steps, refer to step 4 of Create a task in files.
