Hadoop & Files

To access the Hadoop & Files policy screen, click Policy > Hadoop & Files in the navigation panel. This screen displays the list of all Pre-defined and Custom Policies (defined by the user) along with the list of Sensitive Types associated with each policy.

This screen displays the basic information for the Pre-defined and Custom Policies such as day and time on which the policy was created, when it was last updated, date and time on which the policy was exported and imported.

A user can view details, copy, edit, hide, and delete policy by clicking on the options provided under the Actions column.

The Delete and Edit functionality is not applicable on the Pre-Defined policies.

  2. Copy: To create a duplicate copy of the existing policy with the same selected Sensitive Types, click the Copy icon under the Actions column. It will open a New Policy screen with the pre-selected Sensitive Types, and blank Policy Name and Description field.

  3. Hide: To hide a policy, click Hide icon under the Actions column. If you’ve checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, the hidden policy will appear greyed out else it will not be visible on the screen. To know more, visit Home Page.

A user can also opt for an alternative option to hide all the policies by clicking the Hide All option displayed under this Three Dot icon available on the top right corner of the Hadoop & Files Policy screen.

  4. Show: Click Show icon under the Actions column to unhide a task. If you’ve checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, the hidden policy will appear greyed out else it will not be visible on the screen. To know more, visit Home Page.

On clicking the eye icon, the policy will be visible on the screen as shown in the above image. You can also opt for an alternative option to view all the hidden policies by clicking the Show All option displayed under this three dot icon available on the top right corner of the Hadoop & Files Policy screen.

  5. Delete: To delete any policy from the Hadoop & Files Policy screen, click the Trash icon under the Actions column. You cannot delete the Custom Policy if it is associated with any task.

You can also opt for an alternative option to delete all the policies by clicking the Delete All option displayed under this three dot option available on the top right corner of the Hadoop & Files Policy screen.

  6. View Details: A user can view the list of sensitive types associated with the policy by clicking the downward icon available with the Policy Name field. This section displays the description for the policy and the list of selected Sensitive types along with the opted Masking and CUPS options.
