HBase

To access the RESULTS page in HBASE, go to HADOOP > HBASE > RESULTS. The below image depicts the user interface of the Results screen.

The Results screen gives comprehensive information about the detected sensitive types and the outcome of the detection and the protection process. It displays the list of all the task instances and other information. It also displays the name of the Column and Column Family across which the data was detected or protected.

The different tabs in the Overview panel displays other set of information such as the count of hits for each sensitive type in the selected column family, hit ratio of each sensitive type, etc. This screen is divided into two panels.

Based on the selection of the cluster made from Select Cluster drop-down, the Result page gets populated. It lists down all the task instances which have been executed in the selected cluster. The IDP Status on top right corner of the screen display the status of the IDP i.e., whether it is ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

  1. Task Instances
    This panel displays the list of all the instances of the task that can be in any of the state (Running, Failed, Cancelled, Completed). It also displays the basic information of the task such as, ID (system generated), Task Name, Status, End and Start Time.


    There are few other common functionalities through which you can sort the values in the column header, filter the data, download the results in CSV or PDF format, etc. To know more, visit HBASE Common Controls.

    1. Show: Click the Show icon in the Actions column, to unhide the selected task. You can also unhide the selected task by clicking the Show Selected option available under this 3 Dot icon.

      *Note: If you have checked the Show Hidden Items checkbox in the User Preferences, then the hidden task will appear greyed out, else it will not be visible on the screen. To know more, visit Home Page.

    2. Hide: Click the Hide icon in the Actions column to hide a task. This will grey out the task in the panel. You can also hide the selected task by clicking the Hide Selected option available under this 3 Dot  icon.

    3. Delete: Check the checkbox corresponding to the task you want to delete and click the Trash icon under the Actions column.

    4. Re-execute: To execute the task again, click this Re-execute icon under the Actions column. This will trigger the selected instance of the task again.

    5. View Task: Click this Arrow box icon to view the task in the Task Definition screen.

  2. Overview
    This bottom panel displays exhaustive information about the selected task and all the necessary information needed while reviewing a task instance. It shows information under the following tabs:ยท

    1. Task Overview

      This tab displays the summary of the task as per the selection made in the Task Instances panel.

      1. Details

        This tab displays the basic details related to the task such as, Task Name, Task Description, Last Execution date and time, Task type, etc.

      2. Policy Details

        This tab displays the list of policies and sensitive data types associated with the task selected in the Task Instances panel.

    2. Detailed Results

      This tab provides the detailed information for the sensitive type discovered or sensitive type protected in the column family. It displays the Hit Count for each sensitive type discovered in the column family for a specific namespace. Along with this information, it displays the Row Scanned, Null Ratio, Null Count, etc.

      In case, if Protection task type is selected for any task, then the Detailed Results tab will display information for the protection applied on the column with the selected Protection Type. Along with this, it also displays the name of Sensitive Type, Namespace, Table.

    3. Logs

      The Logs tab in the Overview panel displays the list of errors occurred during the execution process. The errors may include issues related to syntax, spooling, missing privileges for namespace, etc. This tab gets populated when the task gets completed with errors or failed due to the above-mentioned errors. It displays the error description with the namespace and logs.
