How to Create a Detection Connection in NoSQL

The Detection Connection allows user to perform discovery in the NoSQL supported Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchBase and DynamoDB). This process helps in establishing a connection between the controller and the data source.

Following are the pre-requisites for creating a detection connection:

  1. Controller must be installed. For detailed information about the installation process, refer Install DSM Administrator in Linux and Install DSM Administrator in Windows.

  2. NoSQL IDP must be Installed. It will allow user to create detection connection for the supported NoSQL databases. To know more, refer Install NoSQL IDP.

Steps to create Detection Connection

The following section of this page outlines the step-by-step of creating a detection connection for NoSQL databases.

  1. Login to the PK Protect application.

  2. Go to NoSQL > Connection Manager > Connection. Click Add New Connection button on top of the screen.

  3. The next step is to select the Location from given list and fill in the details for the selected NoSQL data source for which you need to create a connection. To know more about each field, refer NoSQL Detection Connections.
