How to Create a Policy in DBMS

A Policy is a set of pre-defined rules and regulations which contains a set of guidelines that are created to protect the sensitive information.

Pre-requisites

Controller must be installed. For detailed information about the installation process, refer Install DSM Administrator in Linux and Install DSM Administrator in Windows.

Steps to Perform Detection

The following section of this page outlines the step-by-step procedure of creating a policy in DBMS.

  1. Log into the PK Protect application.

  2. Go to Policy > DBMS. Click Add Policy button on top of the screen.

  3. The next step is to fill in the details for the policy. Policy allows you create a set of Sensitive Data Types which are presented in the files. You can define your policies as well. To know more about each field, refer Create DBMS Policy.
