How to Create a Sensitive Data Persistence Connection in RDBMS

The following section of this page specifies step-by-step procedure to create Sensitive Data Persistence Connections in RDBMS.

Pre-requisites

Following are the pre-requisites:

  1. Controller must be installed. For detailed information about the installation process, refer Install DSM Administrator in Linux and Install DSM Administrator in Windows.

  2. DgDiscover IDP must be Installed. It will enable the Detection feature in the product. To know more on to how install the IDP in Linux and Windows environment, refer Install DgDiscover IDP in Linux and Install DgDiscover IDP in Windows.

Steps to create Sensitive Data Persistence Connection

The following section of this page outlines the step-by-step of creating a sensitive data persistence connection in RDBMS.

  1. Login to the PK Protect application.

  2. Go to RBDMS > Connection Manager > Connection. Click Add New Connection button on top of the screen.

  3. The next step is to select the Location, Service and select Sensitive Data Persistence as Connection Details from given list. Now, fill in the details for the selected data source for which you need to create a connection. To know more about each field, refer RDBMS - Sensitive Data Persistence.

  4. Once connection is created, click Save button to save the details else click Cancel. Click Test button, to validate the connection.
