Install HBase IDP

  1. Locate and copy the executable file DgSecureHBaseIDP-<x.x.x.x>-linux-x64-installer.run to the machine on which you will install the IDP.

  2. Run DgSecureHBaseIDP-<x.x.x.x>-linux-x64-installer.run.

  3. Accept the license agreement.

  4. Install the IDP in the default directory or enter a different location.

  5. Select the deployment type, enter the required configuration details.

    1. If you choose option [1] i.e., Cloudera, then provide the details as depicted in the screenshot below:

    2. If you choose option [2] i.e., Hortonsworks, then provide the details as depicted in the screenshot below:

  6. Installation will begin.

If you want to enable SSL, refer to Step 6 of Install HDFS IDP.

Set the below mentioned properties after successful installation the IDP.

  1. Open HBaseIDPConfig.properties file located at ‘/opt/Dataguise/DgSecure/Agents/HBaseAgent/expandedArchive/WEB-INF/classes’ and provide values for the below mentioned properties:

    1. user: The user specified here will execute a task on HBase cluster.

    2. keytab.file.path: The absolute path to the keytab file which is used for Kerberos Authentication.

    3. Hdfs.keytab.file.path: Specify the path to HDFS keytab file.

    4. hdfs.user: The user specified here will create a directory for HBase IDP.

    5. dg.hbaseidp.hdfs.dir: The absolute path to HDFS directory which is used as a data store by HBase IDP.

  2. Stop the IDP by executing ‘./stop.sh’ command.

  3. Restart the IDP by executing ‘./start.sh’ command.
