List a Structure

The Structure List screen displays the list of all the structures defined and the list of columns associated to it. To access the Structure List screen, click Structure Management in the navigation pane.

The user interface of the Structure List tab is depicted below:

This screen is divided into two panels:

  1. The top panel displays the list of all the structures defined. It displays basic information such as, ID (system generated), name of the structure, Description and Type. The Type is the file structure type. Following are the options: 

    1. RDBMS

    2. Text Files

    3. Sequence Files

    4. Avro Files

    5. RC/ORC Files

    6. Parquet Files

      To edit, delete the structure details or to push the structure details to IDP. Click the icons as per the requirement. To view the icon detail, hover over it.


      Click Push to IDP icon under the Actions column if you want to push the details of the structure on the IDP. To do so, perform the below steps:

    7. On clicking Push to IDP icon, a side window that allows you to select the module and the cluster from the Select Module and Select Cluster drop-down will be displayed.

    8. The Select Module displays all the list of modules. Similarly, the Select Cluster drop-down displays the list of all active and inactive cluster for the selected module. The IDP Status displays whether the selected cluster is in active or inactive state.

    9. Click the Save button to push the structure details on the IDP else click the Cancel button.

      There are common controls across this screen, based on which you can sort the data, filter, or search the data in the panel, show or hide the columns, etc. To know more, visit Common Controls


      To refresh the panel with the updated information, click the Refresh button on the top right corner of the panel.

  2. The bottom panel displays the list of all the column names associated to the structure selected in the top panel. It also displays the list of Sensitive Data Types assigned next to each column name and the column position in the file.


    To refresh the panel with the updated information, click the Refresh button.
