This report provides the detailed summary of scanned data for a specific time range, i.e., month-wise. By default, the report displays the data for the current month.
You can apply filter by clicking the icon on top the left corner of the report. On clicking, it will display two dimensions based on which the data in the report can be filtered.
Date – To view the data for specific time range, enter the year and month in From_YYYYMM and To_YYYYMM textbox.
You need to enter the data in the format <Year><Month>. For instance, if you want to view data from January, 2000 till February, 2020, then it can be written as 200001 in From_YYYYMM field and 202002 in To_YYYYMM field.
Source Name – This filter lets you opt for all source systems or specific source systems, as per the requirement.
Top section displays the size of scanned data along with the count of files for all Source Names. This section display data in the form of bar chart.
E.g., with reference to the above screenshot, total 48.01 GB of data, 588 files, were scanned in HDP_Visa source name.
Hovering over any bar icon displays the data label that provide details for the scanned data. The details include the name of the source system, scanned size in bytes and the scanned size of the data in the form of tables.
To sort the data in ascending or descending order in Source Name column, click Sort icon available with the Source Name column. If you want to sort the data in ascending order i.e. A-Z, then the symbol on the icon will be displayed as A-Z with downward arrow. If you want to sort the data in descending order i.e., Z-A, then the symbol on the icon changes to Z-A with downward arrow .
Similarly, to sort the bar charts based on the scanned size, click Sort icon.
The bottom section displays the data in the tabular form. This section gives more detailed information for the scanned data by providing the total size and count of files scanned in which data was exposed, protected, safe and protected.
This section of the report segregates the scanned data month-wise. The Source Name column can have more than one source name. The data size in Scanned (Files) column is the total data scanned and the total number of files scanned is given in brackets.
The data in the Scanned (Files) column is the total of Exposed (Files), Protected (Files), Safe (Files), and Skipped (Files).
Scanned (F) = Exposed (F) + Protected (F) + Safe (F) + Skipped (F)
Where F stands for the Files in the report.
E.g., with reference to below screenshot, in the second row of the table for month Jan 2020, the total of 23.06 MB (i.e., 18 files scanned) of data was scanned in HDP_Visa cluster. In which, 155.55KB of data is exposed, 22.90 MB of data is safe i.e., its non-sensitive in nature and 3.95 KB of data is skipped.
To sort the data within the table in ascending or descending order, click the Sort icon available with the column header names.
To view the data just at the month level, click the Minus icon next to the Scan Month column. This rolls-up the data at month level and hide the details of the Source Name column.
If you want to view the data at all base files for the selected Scan Month, then select the Source Name specified in the Source Name column. Move the cursor to the data label having the hyperlink and click it.
On clicking, it redirects you to the report which will provide information at the directory level for the selected month. You can also, roll-up the data at Measure Name dimension by clicking Plus icon next to the Directory column.
To sort the data in the report, click the Sort icon available with the Directory column.
E.g., in the above screenshot, in month of Sep 2020, 1004.83 KB of data was scanned in /dfc5980 directory, and it was found out that the data was Exposed.
