MySQL for Masking

Follow the below mentioned steps to create the user and grant the privileges to that user to mask data.

  1. Create a user by executing ‘CREATE USER 'testuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY'testpassword';’ on the machine where we have to mask the data.

  2. To grant the privileges to 'testuser', execute the following script on the same machine where we have created the user.

    CODE
    GRANT ALTER,
    ALTER ROUTINE,
    CREATE ROUTINE,
    CREATE,
    CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES,
    DELETE,
    DROP,
    EXECUTE,
    INDEX,
    INSERT,
    SELECT,
    UPDATE,
    LOCK TABLES,
    SHOW DATABASES,
    SHOW VIEW,
    TRIGGER ON *.* TO 'testuser'@'IP' IDENTIFIED BY 'testpassword';

Here replace IP with machine’s IP where the masker IDP has been installed.

  3. In the Connection Manager, create the connection with 'testuser’.

  4. Create the masker task and execute it.
