Uninstall PK Protect

If you have installed the PK Protect components (controller and IDPs) on different machines, use the component-specific uninstall file, located on a specific machine.

It is recommended to restart the machine after un-installation.

Uninstall Distributed Installation

In Distributed Installation, it is required to uninstall the Controller and IDPs individually.

Uninstall the Controller

Perform the following steps to uninstall the Controller:

  1. Open a terminal window, and login using the same user with whom you have installed the Controller. Specify the username and password.

  2. Execute the UninstallDgSecure.dat file from the installation folder. The default directory is: /opt/Dataguise/DgSecure.

  3. A message will appear asking if you want to uninstall PK Protect and all its modules and remove all leftover files. Type y.

  4. A message will appear asking if you want to delete PK Protect data. Type y.

  5. When the process is complete, a confirmation message will be displayed.

Uninstall an IDP

Perform the following steps to uninstall an IDP:

  1. Execute the uninstaller for the specific IDP from the installation folder. The default directory is /opt/Dataguise/DgSecure/Agents.

  2. A message will appear, asking if you want to uninstall DgSecure <IDPName> and all its modules. Type y.

  3. After that, a message will appear asking if you want to remove all leftover files. Type y.

  4. When the process is complete, a confirmation message will be displayed.
