KB - Server name or address could not be resolved

Possible Cause1

• If this is the first time this workstation is trying to connect to the SMDS, it reaches out to cmds.pkware.com in order to be told here to look for now on.  If the workstation does not have an Internet connection, you will get this error.

Possible Cause2

• The SMDS server isn't able to be found. 
  
  • Is it running?
  • Can you ping it?
