Mail an Archive

You can send an archive as an email attachment right from Smartcrypt.

To automatically attach the currently open archive to a new email message:

1.  Click Email Archive from the Actions group.

Smartcrypt uses your default email program to open a new email message window and attaches the current archive.

Note: If your email program is not running, Smartcrypt may not be able to open a new message window.

2.  Address the message, supply any message text, and send the message.

To automatically attach an archive to a new email message after adding files to the archive:

1.  Click the tiny arrow at the bottom of the Add Files button and select Add Files and Email.

The Add Files to an Archive dialog opens to let you add files. When you close the dialog, Smartcrypt opens a new email message window and attaches the archive to which you added files.

2.  Address the message, supply any message text, and send the message.

You can also have Smartcrypt automatically zip files that you have already attached to a new email message. Smartcrypt adds the files to a ZIP archive and attaches the archive in place of the files when you send the message. You can turn on and configure this feature from Mail options.
