Setting Options

You can configure almost everything about Smartcrypt from the Options dialog. This dialog is the main place where you set display and security options and specify how you want Smartcrypt to add and extract files.

The Options dialog is where you make the settings that control these and other things. Settings you make in Options become the new defaults and remain in force until you change them.

The Options are organized into the following categories:

Option Dialog Buttons

The following buttons are available from all pages of the Options dialogs:

Button	What It Does
OK	Saves changes made on any Options page, in any category, and closes Options
Cancel	Closes Options without saving any changes
Apply	Saves changes made on any page and leaves Options dialog open. (Useful to assess effect of changing Options settings in the View category.)
Default	Restores settings on the current page to their initial defaults
