Search

The Search tab allows you to search for data based on the rules specified in the filters section of the page.

To access a Search page, go to Dashboard > Search.

There are total of five search criteria’s i.e., AD User, User Email, File, Action, and Pattern. You can define n number of rules. For example, when a rule is defined for Pattern then charts will display the data, based on the pattern provided in the drop-down along with the specified date range, if any.

If no rule is defined, then you can view data for all the users. This will display all the relevant charts based on the actions performed by the users. For example, if any user has performed discovery and encryption then, all charts for Discoveries and Encryptions are displayed on the UI such as Discoveries and Encryptions trend chart, Discoveries by User, Encryptions by File Name, Discoveries by Pattern, Encryptions by Location, etc.

To view data at more granular level

To view data at more granular level, you can drill down in the charts by clicking a particular pie slice or by selecting a point of measurement in the trend chart for a given period.

For example, there is a chart that displays patterns in the Discoveries by Pattern chart. This chart displays different patterns (such as All Supported Credit Cards, Social Security Numbers, Email Address, etc.) discovered over a period by different users. On clicking the ‘All Supported Credit Cards’ pie slice, a series of charts will get generated based on the ‘All Supported Credit Card’ pattern type". This will give exhaustive information in the form of other charts like Encryptions by Location, Redactions Files by Pattern, Discoveries by User, Discovery Remediation by Action, etc., all with the context of the ‘All Supported Credit Cards’ pattern type.
