The PKWARE certificate server is currently offline

Problem

When attempting to obtain or renew a digital certificate, this message is displayed.

Solution

PKWARE no longer offers digital certificates with SecureZIP or renewals starting January 1, 2015.

  1. While SecureZIP cannot be used to obtain or renew a certificate,  you can still use certificates for encryption and decryption. You can obtain an X.509 email certificate from a third party provider such as Comodo, Verisign or generate a self signed certificate using Windows server.
